Dante and Virgil are at what looks like an electrical wire fence with double doors. Virgil is astonished that they refused him access inside. Outside the gate are 3 children dressed in the Nazi uniform, all three were threatening the Poets that they would bring out the monstrous gestapo to kill them. Virgil protects Dante by shielding him but just as that happens a British soldier comes in and all of the men and women past the gates run away as the soldier opens the gates for them. Dante and Virgil continue their walk and they realizes that they are in the city of Berlin. As they walk down the street they see the damned men and women who are forced to carry a large Nazi flag that is set on fire. One of the men that Dante sees is Dietrich von Choltitz who repeatedly informs Dante that the Reich will fail. Dante is confused that the damned are forced to see the future but never realize the present. The poets keep walking on until they reach what looks like war trenches. They have suddenly reached the end of the 6 department of hell.
